Identity refresh for dog sledding company in Finnish Lapland

I started working with Bearhill a few years ago, when I was introduced by a friend and fellow adventurer Joel Forsman. Joel is responsible for a lot of the quality photography produced for Bearhill and he invited me to join him for a weekend up there. We began to talk about upgrading the companies identity and how it would start to look on merchandise. After designing a t-shirt graphic for the company, which everyone seemed to love, we decided to approach a refreshed identity for Bearhill from there. I took the elements of that t-shirt illustration and created a system around it. The final result is the following…

Adaptive logo system

There are three versions of the Bearhill logo, a full height version, a compact version, and a simplified version with no dog graphic. The logo had to be adaptive to work across the board, both online (where a lot of the customers first interaction with Bearhill is ) and in physical space, such as on merchandise and company uniform.

Bearhills new logo system was based on a t-shirt illustration I did for their merchandise range last winter. We modified this graphic and made it workable as a logo set. Photo by Joel Forsman
