Military Mart are based in Lancashire, and have earned themselves the reputation of being the UK’s largest seller and buyer of all things military surplus. They have spent years amassing a catalogue of military equipment from all over the globe, which you can visit when you stop by their impressive warehouse. In order to build a convincing identity system, it was vital not to take reference from any one period in military history, but instead to be inspired by the rich well of media that exists. Everything from clothing labels, military and Navy tattoos, graffiti, pinup girls, propaganda posters and weapons were explored when creating this identity. The result is not just one logo, but rather a toolkit of assets that could be drawn upon and mixed and matched to create unique expressions every time. Combining the various illustrations and work mark styles, the possibilities are endless.
